Daily Heights - this blog has been giving readers everything about Prospect Heights since 2003.  Hands down, the best source for online news about the neighborhood.

While I think you’re already reading the best website on Brooklyn real estate, here are a few more that offer interesting content on the subject.

Brownstonersince 2004, Brownstoner was the first blog site dedicated to Brooklyn real estate and renovation.  However, the site’s content has evolved into broader topics, with all of it’s content primarily about neighborhoods on the west side of the borough.

The Real Deal - this site and it’s publication cover New York City’s real estate profession and the allied professions, as well as industry practices.  Sometimes their are great, in depth articles and other times just news manufactured from brokerage, management and development companies press releases.

NY Times Real Estatelong considered the bible of New York City real estate, the New York Times real estate classifieds at one time served as the epicenter of Manhattan and emerging neighborhoods in the outer boroughs.

Develop Don’t Destroy Brooklynstarted in 2004, DDDB established the front line against real estate development  in Brooklyn neighborhoods through community activism.  They’re famous for opposition against Bruce Ratner and the Atlantic Yards project.

Brooklynian - this forum is a place to find useful information and news about specific neighborhoods in Brooklyn.  The unique topics and engaging discussions by it’s members (and your neighbors) are insightful and entertaining.

Citizen Who - your voice, your news, your neighborhoods, this site brings the news that happens in Bed Stuy, as well as the history of its streets and locations.  This is one of my favorite neighborhood blogs.

The Organizations here

Here are sites that show people banding together to create thriving, vibrant communities where they are.  Get to know these organizations and get involved.

Crown Heights North Associationthis organization is dedicated to the preservation and maintenance of the architecture and history of the landmarked northern section of Crown Heights and plan events that showcase the neighborhood.

Brownstoners of Bedford Stuyvesant - organized in 1978, this organization is the reason for the renaissance in Brownstone Townhouse living in central Brooklyn and are focused on preservation of the neighborhood’s architecture.

Crown Hill Community Association - this organization has been at the forefront of advocacy on behalf of the residents and merchants in Crown Heights west of Nostrand avenue.
